Exile came about after the closing of the infamous Grimms Tattoo in 1998. Having relocated just four blocks we felt a new name was needed so, as to not disrespect the Bert Grimm legacy. (Bert had worked at the previous location briefly in the very early 80's.) Our objective is simply to strive to bring our personal best to our clients. This is achieved through communicating with the individual customer and presenting them with the many possibilities that can be executed though our extensive reference library and our deep desire to excel at our task. We are influenced by classic Japanese imagery as well as Traditional American tattooing, but are not by any means limited to those styles. We invite you to visit our modern, sanitary studio to view our portfolios or online. Thank you, and enjoy.
